Siaran Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Indonesia malam ini, Senin, 2 Maret 2020, pukul 20.00-21.00 bersama Dra. Agnes Adhani, M. Hum. berdiskusi tentang maraknya berita bohong atau hoaks yang menghiasi media sosial. Hal ini melanggar prinsip kerja sama dalam empat maksim, yaitu maksimkuantitas, karena berita bohong biasanya menyajikan berita sepotong, sehingga tidak lengkap, maksin kualitas, menyajikan informasi tidak benar, maksim relevansi, menyajikan informasi yang tidak relevan, tidak berhubungan langsung dengan topik yang dibahas, dan maksim pelaksanaan, karena informasi yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung, tidak runtut, takda, bahkan kadang berlebihan. Marilah kita gunakan bahasa Indonesia dengan baik, benar, dan tepat dalam menyampaikan informasi, khususnya dalam komunikasi tekstual. Penulis yang tidak memahami konteks kadang memberi komentar yang tidak benar, tidak tepat, tidak relevan, dan membingungkan, apalagi bila informasi tersebut menimbulkan kegaduhan dan kepanikan. Marilah kita gunakan bahasa Indonesia dengan baik, benar, dan santun, demi memartabatan bahasa Indonesia.

    found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
